Car insurance

The following list of insurance companies has been passed on to us by people who contact the Epilepsy Helpline. The National Society for Epilepsy does not endorse any of these companies and stresses that there are many other insurance companies available. We would appreciate any feedback on these, or other insurance companies, so that we feel confident when passing on these details to other people.

Insurance companies base their quotes on each individual’s circumstances. They can ask questions, or ask for written information, about a medical condition to support an application. They might ask for a copy of the letter from the DVLA.

It may be worth contacting several companies to get the best quote for you. There is no general rule about whether insurance companies will protect or ‘hold over’ any no claims bonus that an individual has earnt. It may be worth asking each company what their policy is about no claims bonuses.
